Our Story
Glen Edmunds along with his wife, Kim Edmunds started Kenya’s first advanced driving company in 2005.

In 2004, Glen and Kim Edmunds, experienced first hand an attempted car-jacking. A gang of five men all armed with AK47’s followed them into their gated property one night. A small round about in the driveway allowed Glen to quickly drive in and face out towards the gate again. The thugs thought that they were stopping to surrender. Due to Glen’s extensive racing background, he knew that he could out-drive them. So when the thugs pulled up close behind in their car, Glen quickly drove off before the thugs could get out of their vehicle. As they were driving out of the compound, several shots were fired at them. They managed to escape unharmed only because Glen kept his cool and took quick evasive action.
Kim, Glen’s wife however, was so traumatized by it all, that she wouldn’t go out of the house for a week. They realized then, without any skills or knowledge, they felt completely powerless. They decided to do something to make a difference so that no one else would have to endure what they went through. Glen used one of his friend’s connections to get fast tracked into an Executive Protection/Anti-Kidnapping Program at the well known Bondurant Performance Driving School in the USA, which was developed for select members of the CIA, FBI, Delta Force and others of that ilk. With this initial training, Glen returned home and started Kenya’s first advanced driving academy with an emphasis on counter-carjacking. That was over 15 years ago. Glen has since gone onto become one of the most highly accredited advanced driving instructors in the market today. The company has expanded and grown in ways that they never could have imagined.
They started with humble beginnings as their first classroom was a room in a retail building with an unused parking lot at the rear of the building. Once the word got out that Glen was teaching a security course that emphasised carjacking , they were quickly inundated with enquiries. The British High Commission (FCO) was their first client, and it snowballed quickly from there.
The original security driving course also expanded to help those driving armoured vehicles and those working and living in high risk areas that needed more advanced security driver training.
They also realized that security wasn’t the only issues on Kenya’s roads. Proper defensive driving courses were also needed to reduce the ever increasing death tolls on the roads.
They quickly outgrew this first location and moved twice more before they decided that they needed to build their own driver training facility.
Finally, in 7 July, 2013, they broke ground and Kenya’s first purposely-built driver training facility was started.
The Current Driver Training Facility.
Kim and Glen Edmunds dream became a reality. They designed and built a driver training facility within easy reach of Nairobi’s Central Business Distric, in Kenya, East Africa. Complete with both concrete and murram training tracks, a concrete skid pan and a complete 4WD Off Road Training Centre.
