They are fluent in English, Kiswahili and other local dialects. and have successfully used interpreters in international trainings.

Trained to the Highest Standards

At Glen Edmunds Advanced Driving, our instructors undergo one of the most rigorous training processes in the industry. Each instructor must achieve both our own Glen Edmunds Advanced Driving accreditation and internationally recognized advanced driver certifications from the U.K. and U.S.A. They also fully comply with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements and are evaluated annually by internationally accredited assessors to ensure their skills remain at the highest level.

While some companies offer “Train the Trainer” programs lasting just two weeks or less, we believe this approach is irresponsible. Such minimal training fails to provide instructors with the depth of knowledge and experience needed to teach advanced driving safely and effectively. It's unfair to both the trainees and the students they will eventually instruct.

True driver training demands a deep understanding of vehicle dynamics—why a vehicle behaves the way it does under different conditions—and the ability to counter everyday driving hazards safely and correctly. Effective reactions must become intuitive. That level of mastery requires a scientific, measurable, and consistent approach to training.

Our program includes extensive, hands-on practical sessions with other accredited instructors, along with continuous, evidence-based evaluations. It takes a minimum of six months just to bring a new instructor to our baseline standard. Even after that, we continue mentoring and assessing them rigorously to ensure they meet our stringent requirements. The entire process typically takes eight months or longer, depending on the individual. Becoming a qualified instructor at Glen Edmunds Advanced Driving isn’t quick or easy—it demands genuine commitment, time, and experience.
