Excerpt from the Event Program on what the drivers can expect on their first day:

Competitive: 241.84 KM

Liaison: 117.02km

Day Total: 358.86km

CS1 – Sokoke to Samburu 120Km
An iconic stage used in many local rallies and the classic. A very fast and twisty gravel stage, with some big jumps and spectacular corners to test competitors skills. The last 30km is on black cotton, and if wet, will be very big challenge to get through.

CS2 Mackinnon to Mwatate – 89km
A very fast stage with big culverts and is, extremely smooth, but there will be many wash away is due to rain damage. Thereafter, it’s typical Tsavo terrain with red soil which is fast but could have many wash ways.

CS3 – Mariwenyi to Ngutuni 31km
This is a short, typical, twisty section, with many culverts and wash away. Some places are extremely narrow and blind corners continue. Again, red, soil, terrain, and expecting many long mudholes, which could be tricky to get through.
